Rabbi Paul Tuchman is a native of Tucson, Arizona. He grew up in the Reform movement, including attendance at the regional UAHC camp and leadership in his Temple youth group. After earning a B.A. in philosophy at Pomona College, Rabbi Tuchman attended HUC-JIR in Jerusalem, Los Angeles and Cincinnati. He has served congregations in several parts of the country and has been in Damascus, Maryland for the last eight years. Rabbi Tuchman is a trained storyteller. An article on his innovation at High Holy Day services appeared in Reform Judaism. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, classical music, and hiking. His son, Natan, works in the Department of Graduate Affairs at the University of California, Berkeley.
